AM1.5D simulates the terrestrial solar spectrum on the ground when the sun is at a zenith angle of 48.2°. It includes only direct light from the sun, and not the diffuse light that is scattered by the atmosphere. As a result, this filter simulates the direct radiation which reaches the ground.

If the filter is not intended to be used with a Sciencetech solar simulator, the product line "None" may be selected, but the spectral output cannot be guaranteed when paired with a non-Sciencetech source.

It includes both direct light from the sun, and the diffuse light that is scattered by the atmosphere. As a result, this filter simulates the total radiation, known as global radiation, which reaches the ground.

Sciencetech cold mirrors reflect visible energy and transmit the infrared (heat energy). The cold mirrors are vacuum deposited and all dielectric.
UV cold mirror is specially designed to reflect more than 95% average of ultra-violet rays from 350-450nm and transmit more than 90% average 550-1200nm at 45 degrees angle of incidence. Custom angles of incidence can be designed to specification.

Grating for use with 9040, 9490, and 9150 monochromators (including imaging, single, and double monochromator configurations). A grating holder is included with each grating, compatible with the grating mount. Gratings cannot be removed from their holders once installed, the grating-holder combination can be removed from the grating mount in the monochromator.

Grating size options for the 9040, 9490, and 9150 series are:

102 × 102 mm

For single monochromator configurations, please select one grating. Additional gratings can be purchased to cover different wavelengths.
For double monochromator configurations, please select a quantity of two identical gratings. These gratings must be the same for the double monochromator configuration to operate correctly. Additional gratings can be purchased to cover different wavelengths, if purchased in pairs.

This high-powered filter is designed for band blocking of near-infrared radiation.

This filter contains a hot mirror for filtering out IR light to remove thermal heat on the target. However, standard hot mirrors also remove UV light as a side-effect which mean it cannot be used in UV applications. This special hot mirror removes IR light between 730-1100nm while preserving UVA and UVB light (280-400nm) in addition to visible light. This filter is ideal for Sciencetech UV solar simulators where the filtering of thermal heat on the target is desired and preservation of UVA and UVB light is required. This filter is intended for use at 0 degree angle of incidence.

This filter is mounted in Sciencetech FT style filter mount with a 73 mm diameter clear aperture.

Please note this filter does not eliminate all thermal heat in the IR range as this filter stops at 1,100nm. Hence IR heat beyond 1,100nm still pass through. This high-powered filter blocks UVA light and transmits UVB as well as visible and IR light. This filter has an average transmission of better than 70% from 260-315nm, and reflection greater than 95% from 320 to 400nm. This filter is designed for 0 degree angle of incidence. This filter is mounted in a FT style filter holder and has a clear aperture of 73 mm diameter. This filter is suitable for use with Sciencetech's line of SS solar simulators.
