(SH-XLH-B) Shutter for XLH Lamp House, 2" Diameter Clear Aperture
The SH-XLH-B is a computer controlled shutter for 201, LH-S, XLH-S lamp houses and SF/SLB solar simulators. Based on the successful SSES lines of blade shutters for Sciencetech's line of high powered solar simulators.
An arc lamp is not designed to be frequently turned off and on and doing so will dramatically lower its service life. In addition, each time it is turned on it requires the power supply to ignite it with a 20,000V+ spark. The best option for performing exposure testing is to integrate an electronic shutter system with the lamp house or solar simulator. This electronic shutter has an activation time of <150ms.
The SH-XLH-B can be controlled using Sciencetech 601 or 501 series power supplies (including automated explosure time control). Alternatively, a shutter controller model SH-C and SCI-SHUTTER Software are available for controlling the shutter. The SH-C controller is not included with this shutter.
This shutter can be used with any high powered light source and can effectively block a 2" diameter beam.
This shutter is closed frame and the shutter mechanism is not exposed. For an open frame shutter please see the SH-2-B-OF product.

(FB1T) Low Profile Tilting Filter Box
Sciencetech's FB1T filter box holds one filter per filter box and can accommodate up to 3" x 3" filters. The FB1T filter box is used to stop back reflections from travelling along the path of the incident light. The FB1T filter boxes are stackable, so multiple FB1T filter boxes can be attached if using more than one filter at once is required.
The FB1T has standard mounting for slip rings that are compatible with 2" diameter lens tubes. For mounting with 1" diameter lens tubes Sciencetech's S4-1D (100-8038) coupling adapator is required.
No filter holders are included and filter holders are dependent on the size of the filters to be used.
Compatible filter holders are the FT-series (e.g. FT-75).

(SS-84) High Resolution Slit
This is a high resolution slit designed to have 2um resolution. The slits are manufactured from stainless steel to maximize mechanical accuracy.
Please note that these slits are not designed to maximize throughput for extremely high resolution monochromators, due to the straight orientation of the slits. For maximum resolution, the slits need to be designed on a curve that corresponds to the curvature of the point of least confusion. However, this is only a significant factor for systems with optical pathlengths of 1m and greater. Please speak with your authorized Sciencetech technical sales staff member if you need maximum resolution for a long pathlength system.

Chopper Enclosure to Monochromators (S4 - S4)
Many systems require choppers for modulating signals (either inputs or outputs, depending on the system and detector, and the specific needs for modulation for the system). A chopper is normally the most effective way to do this.
However, the chopper normally requires a housing to hold the chopper in the proper position in the system. This particular housing is designed to allow a chopper to be mounted to either the input or output port of a Sciencetech monochromator or spectrograph.
If you have any questions about how this mounting may affect your system, please speak with your authorized Sciencetech technical sales staff member.
