The 9150 is Sciencetech's largest monochromator with a 1.5m focal length. Under optimum conditions with a 2400 l/mm grating it can achieve a resolution of 0.004 nm in single pass mode. 9150SD includes an optical module that allows the unit to be configured in a double pass mode as well, effectively doubling the focal length to 3m and achievable resolution to 0.002 nm. It utilizes large 102 x 102 mm gratings for high light throughput (f/12 aperture). The 9150SD accommodates one grating on a removable, kinematic mount that allows the user to manually swap one grating for another without losing alignment.

The Dual Deuterium and Quartz Tungsten Halogen Light Source consists of a separate 30 W deuterium light source and a 100 W QTH light source in one optical assembly. The deuterium source and the QTH source operate simultaneously and a cold mirror is used to combine the 2 beams into a single beam.

Sciencetech manufactures grid polarizing beam-splitters for use in the far-infrared and terahertz spectral regions. These beamsplitters divide the incoming beam according to its polarization. The beam-splitter consist of very fine parallel aluminum lines spaced 4 µm apart on a thin mylar substrate. It has the widest spectral range with a higher frequency cut-off than that of other polarizers that work in the near-millimeter wavelength range.

Sciencetech is pleased to offer the SS-1.6kW solar simulator. This model is free of chromatic aberration and uses a fully reflective design to create uniformity on target, maximizing UV throughput. The SS-1.6kW includes air-cooled arc lamp housing, 1600 W ozone free xenon bulb, and adjustable power supply with igniter.

This solar simulator has one filter holder for Sciencetech's FT style filters. AM1.5G air mass filter included. For other options (i.e. AM0), please speak to a Sciencetech Representative. Other filters such as dichroic filters and bandpass filters are available for further modification of the spectrum.

This instrument features standard horizontal operation, but vertical operation is optional (please see Sciencetech's DFS-SS, 160-8016).
