As an arc lamp ages, the output intensity slowly declines. This natural lamp aging can be compensated for by using this light intensity stabilizer, which operates by increasing the power level on the variable power supply, using feedback from an optical sensor.
This stabilizer is meant to stabilize the light output on a time scale of hours or days, useful for longer-running experiments. It does not improve temporal instability on the order of seconds (or even a single hour).
This light intensity stabilizer is compatible with Sciencetech's computer-controlled xenon arc lamp power supplies and housings (PS-XE###-A-T). This product is not compatible with manually-controlled power supplies (PS-XE###-A-M).
