This Broadband Thermopile Detector allows the measurement of total broadband radiation emitted by a light source. It could also be used to measure the light power density on a surface (in W/cm2) which is particularly useful for uniformity measurements and for checking solar simulator performance. This detector has a 19mm diameter sensor and picks up all wavelengths between 190-11μm (UV-VIS-IR). Please note that this detector head requires either an external display controller or computer interface (sold separately - see below) to show the measured power. This external transmission/reflectance sample chamber can be mated to the output port of a Sciencetech FTIR system. This chamber allows small samples to be studied in both transmission and reflectance modes, at temperatures ranging from approximately -20° Celsius to room temperature. The sample chamber utilizes gold coated aspheric optics for excellent signal in the infrared and terahertz region.

This rotating-blade chopper has a 1" diameter opening on one face and a 2" diameter opening on the opposite face. The blade is positioned closest to the 1" face. Either opening can be used as the input or output, depending on the configuration of your system.
This chopper is usually used in cases where a converging beam enters the chopper housing from a 2" optical tube and then is coupled to a monochromator. In this case, the 2" opening is coupled to the lamp housing and the 1" opening is coupled to the monochromator input. It could be used in the reverse orientation for a diverging beam.
For collimated inputs, this chopper accepts a maximum 1" diameter beam, but the CH-MC-E-1D1D chopper is usually used for this application instead.

The 1" face has a 1-D slip ring with H4 hole pattern.
The 2" face has a 2-D slip ring with S4 hole pattern.
This system includes a 2-slot blade for frequency range of 4-200 Hz. Higher frequency ranges are available with other blades.
Includes enclosure and driver.
This chopper is compatible with SciSpec and SciPV software.
For integration into Sciencetech instruments or larger integrated systems, see SciencetechCOM and SciAX software.

An arc lamp is not designed to be frequently turned off and on and doing so will dramatically lower its service life. In addition, each time it is turned on it requires the power supply to ignite it with a 20,000V+ spark. THe best option for performing exposure testing is to integrate an electronic shutter system inside the beam homogenizer. The electronic shutter is computer controlled with an activation time of <150ms. Software for the shutter controller is included with this item. The standard shutter controller connects to a computer via RS232. RS232-USB converters are available and work with this product. In addition to computer control the shutter can be controlled via a toggle switch on the shutter controller box.

This shutter can be used with any high powered light source and can effectivley block a 5" diameter beam. See the brochure information for a mounting pattern.

This device can be controllable through Sciencetech's new line of Touch Screen power supplies (including automated explosure time control).
Please note leaving the shutter closed for exteremly long periods of time while the arc lamp is on may cause damage to the motorized components.

Sciencetech's PS-QT1000-F-M is an external 1000 W fixed power supply for QTH lamps. Sciencetech's 1000 W QTH power supply produces a highly stabilized 120 VDC low noise output and can output up to 10 A. The current output to the lamp is not adjustable with this power supply. This power supply is designed to work with Sciencetech XLH lamp houses with QTH or other resistive element type lamps having maximum voltage of 120 VDC. The power supply will operate resistive element type lamps at their nominal operating voltage and current. This will result in the lamp emitting a spectra at it's nominal colour temperature.

This power supply accepts 100-240 VAC.

The SS-80 is a manually controlled, bilaterally adjustable slit for the input or output port. Most Sciencetech monochromators/spectrograph models already include one SS-80 slit at the input port but an additional one at the output port is usually required if the monochromator is mated to a single channel detector, PMT detector, or used as a tunable wavelength light source. If the dual port option is selected for a Sciencetech monochromator, an additional SS-80 slit for the second port may also be required. The slit width can be adjusted between 0-6 mm, in 10 µm spacing using a micrometer thumbwheel. The height of the SS-80 slit can also be adjusted between 0-10 mm, 10-20 mm and 20-30 mm through built-in manual curtain sliders.
