This solar reference cell consists of a 20 × 20 mm monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic cell encased in a 92 × 70 × 16 mm metal enclosure with a protective quartz window and a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is a 100 ohm platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD).The device includes separate IV (4-wire) and RTD interfaces.
The solar reference cells comes with a certificate of calibration (AM1.5G, 1 Sun) and compatible set of connecting cables.
The certificate includes:
Isc, Imax, Voc, Vmax, Pmax, Spectral Correction, Fill Factor, Area and Efficiency.
Measurements are made in accordance with ASTM E948 and E1021.
Options are available for calibration by Sciencetech, or by ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab. For ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab calibrated cells, calibration is traceable to NIST and NREL.
