This solar simulator is based on a Fresnel lens to collimate the light beam from the 3.0 kW Xe ozone-free arc lamp source, resulting in highly collimated illumination of the target spot. The spectral distribution of the xenon light source, along with the use of specially calibrated air mass filters, closely simulates the sun’s true spectral distribution in various conditions on Earth.

Works best with 1 Sun AM1.5G filters (included). Other AM filters are available but they may change the target size achievable. Contact a Sciencetech technical sales representative for details.

Target: up to 28 cm (11") diameter (depends on required irradiance level)
Collimation: 0.7° half angle (70% of irradiance is within)
Non-uniformity: Class B
Lamp: 3.0 kW ozone-free Xe short arc
Lamp Housing: air cooled
Illumination Direction: horizontal*
Power Supply: PS-XE3000-A-T

Includes: 30 cm (12") diameter UV transmitting Fresnel lens, intensity mask to produce class B (<5%) non-uniformity up to 11" diameter, igniter.

Power Requirements: 200-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 20 A. This system requires 1 NEMA 6-30P compatible power cables. Please select one region-specific power cable (see product 491-9004) at no cost.

Optional accessories: vertical beam turning unit, light intensity stabilizer, integrated motorized shutter
* Systems can be built for downfacing operation if specified at time of order

The Glow bar (Globar) is a typical infrared source for the THz researcher. The heating element itself is very low cost, allowing researchers to use them without worry about replacing expensive bulbs or components. The majority of the price for this unit consists of the water cooling (required for vacuum operation), large reflector to efficiently collect the radiation, and housing designed to withstand the high level of vacuum required for THz operation.
This model is specifically designed to mount to the optional External Input Port of the SPS300. If you wish to use a completed Globar unit for your own applications, please speak with a Technical Support specialist.
Please note that this device requires water cooling to operate under vacuum and includes all the lines, but not the water recirculator itself. If purchased as part of a complete SPS300 system, it is included.

Sciencetech Inc. fully reflective solar simulators have the unparalleled ability to be realigned to allow the solar simulator to be used in many different customized scenarios. This allows the end user to reconfigure the simulator to provide a larger or smaller target with varying degrees of non-uniformity and power output. Most other simulators on the market today do not allow the end user to do this.
Sciencetech Solar Simulator System Alignment Kit includes:
1 sun calibrated alignment Silicon detector, laser and holder, UV protection glasses, Sciencetech multimeter.
Can be used on all of Sciencetech's fully reflective Solar Simulators.
