The SSIVT is a complete electrical current-voltage measurement system used to characterize photovoltaic cell performance. This current-voltage tester works by sampling current at different voltages of the photovoltaic cell with a variable impedance load.

This IV measurement system has a separate terminal interface for voltage and current measurements. Each IV curve dataset is saved as a separate text file.
This I-V Testing Measurement System has a 4 wire Kelvin configuration to remove the resistance effects of the leads and bias the cell at specific voltages.

The I-V Measurement System SSIVT-C includes:
- Source Measure Unit (SMU) - See table for specifications depending on chosen model.
- Sciencetech's SciPV-IV Software for Windows-based control - Windows 10/11
- RS232 to USB dongle
- Test cell

Compatible with Steady State (Continuous) Solar Simulators only.

This system includes 1 IEC 60320 C13 compatible power cable. Region-specific version must be selected at the time of placing an order (see product 491-9001).

This solar reference cell consists of a 20 × 20 mm monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic cell encased in a 92 × 70 × 16 mm metal enclosure with a protective quartz window and a temperature sensor.
The temperature sensor is a 100 ohm platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD).
The device includes separate IV (4-wire) and RTD interfaces

The solar reference cells comes with a certificate of calibration and compatible set of connecting cables.
The certificate includes:
Isc, Imax, Voc, Vmax, Pmax, Spectral Correction, Fill Factor, Area and Efficiency.
Measurements are made in accordance with ASTM E948 and E1021.

Options are available for calibration by Sciencetech, or by ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab. For ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab calibrated cells, calibration is traceable to NIST and NREL.
