SKU: SF300-A

Sciencetech is proud to offer a low cost 300W solar simulator system that includes arc lamp housing, bulb, power supply with igniter, filter holder, and UV fused silica lenses.

The SF300 can produce up to 2.5 Solar Constants (w/o AM filter) with a 2.5cm (1") diameter collimated, convergent or divergent beam using a 300W (ozone free) xenon lamp with Sciencetech's 201-100 air cooled arc lamp housing. The system is powered by the Sciencetech 500-300 power supply and igniter.

A multiple filter holder allows the user to selectively trim the xenon spectrum to provide the desired Air Mass spectrum. Available solar filters include AM0, AM1.0, AM1.5 direct and global, and AM2.0. Other filters such as dichroic filters and bandpass filters are available for further modification of the spectrum. The filters are sold separately, please specify which filters should be sent with the solar simulator when ordering.

Power Output

The solar simulator can achieve up to 2 SUNs (200 mW/cm2) at its 25mm (1") diameter output port with an AM1.5G filter. Normally, the solar simulator is operated at 1 SUN (100mW/cm2) with the use of an AM solar filter.

Non-Uniformity

The SF300 solar simulator provides class A (or B with additional power) non-uniformity over the full field just beyond the output. If the class B non-uniformity location is inconvenient, the uniform full field can be projected outward to a more suitable position (and selectable size) using additional coupling lens. Sciencetech will be glad to position this surface at your working distance. Please talk with your sales agent to confirm the specifications required.

Spectral Range

Without filters the solar simulator provides a broadband spectral range of 250-2500nm. Please note that the spectrum can be distorted when used with a fiber optic bundle attachment or hand probe attachment.
