Custom Development Services

In addition to providing modular optical components and products for customers to develop their own optical instruments, Sciencetech also provides component integration and custom instrument development services. Sciencetech has a team of scientists and engineers dedicated to component integration and custom instrument development using its line of modular optical components and products as optical building blocks. Our Engineering Department responsible for these services includes a photonics design team proficient in optical engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. They also have 2 optical laboratories dedicated to instrument development and assembly as well as access to an on-site class 10,000 clean room facility and a machine shop which they share with our Manufacturing Department.

Component Integration Services

This service is dedicated to customers who want to build an application specific optical instrument but do not have the in-house expertise or facilities to do so. It is particularly useful for customers who want to assemble their own system from modular components, but are worried that the daunting task of integrating them together will not meet their requirements. For an additional component integration fee, our experienced Engineering Department can assemble the instrument using the modular components at our facilities, including performing systems testing. Sciencetech strongly encourages our customers to receive a free quotation for component integration services if they have any doubts of assembling their own system together from modular components. Custom Instrument Development

Sciencetech has built many high end custom spectrometer and optical instruments in the last 20 years. Many large reputable institutions like NASA, the European Space Administration, the U.S. Department of Defense, and corporations like Unilever and Nortel Networks have contracted Sciencetech to develop highly specialized instruments. Sciencetech has developed vacuum grade instruments for space use, high powered lighting systems, and even photo dynamic therapy systems for skin cancer treatment.
