The Sciencetech SCISDX1011 Pyroelectric Detector Head features a 5mm diameter sensor with 420-480 V/W sensitivity and 9x10-9 noise-equivalent power. It comes with separate 6ft output and power cables. Power connector is DB9 female with Sciencetech universal pinout for connection to SCIPWRMOD power and measuring system. Compatible with EOS PS-1 power supply or EOS LIA/PS-1 lock-in/power supply. Package: 2" dia. x 1" long with 1" dia. face mount and 1/4-20 side mount. Power requirements are ±8 volts to ±24 volts at ±8mA max. Quartz window allows essentially flat response (±3%) 300nm-2.1µm. Electrical response -3dB points typically 0.5Hz - 150Hz. The standard version with Quartz window is priced at $1907USD. Other options such as different windows, calibration and an INTERNAL Lockin Module are available at extra cost. Sciencetech's pyroelectric detectors have inherently flat response from 100nm-1000µm but are window limited. These Pyroelectric detectors REQUIRE chopped radiation input and a synchronous output detection system. They may also be sensitive to rapid temperature change, vibration and/or cell phones.

Window Option A variety of windows are available besides the standard quartz or fused silica. The available options are sapphire, germanium, silicon, CaF2, BaF2, and KBr. Please speak to a Sciencetech representative so that our detector can best suit your needs.

Lockin Module Piggyback synchronous detector board is added internally to head. Accepts external reference OR performs homodyne detection on signal equal to or greater than 0.1% of full scale. Unity gain, TC=0.1/1.0sec. Additional power requirement: ±8 volts to ±24 volts at ±5mA max. BNC reference connector + switches on rear of 1" longer packaging.

Sensitivity* Measured (and calibrated) in a 1 Hz bandwidth at 22°C using a 632.8nm source chopped at 8.5 Hz with 50/50% duty cycle. Warning: Response (and calibration value) will be reduced by 3% with 50/50 chopped input at 2 octaves (4x/25%) above/below the -3dB points. i.e. -3% at 2Hz and 40Hz typ. On board jumper converts sensitivity from total power to power density (uncalibrated).
